We perform as a string duo, string trio, and string quartet in the Richmond metropolitan and surrounding areas for wedding ceremonies, receptions, corporate events, and private gatherings.

The Richmond, Va String Quartet, Trio and Duo is a group of professional, experienced, and dependable musicians. They specialize in weddings, corporate events, private dinners, and more. Our experience allows us to work individually with each client to ensure the success of our performance and of the event as a whole.
We play over 150 wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions each year. This means we have mastered the skills of timing, flexibility, and performance and we accomodate for a variety of wedding traditions and song requests. Our vast repertoire ranges from classical and traditional pieces to pop and jazz. If you don't see your favorite song listed in our repertoire, please request it and we will do our best to learn it for your event.

Many thanks to the String Poets for playing at our wedding. The music played a very important part in our wedding, as you know, and you performed the pieces just as I wanted them to be played! At one point I was swaying to the music(I think it was Vocalise) and my husband even noticed me doing it, just in the moment and enjoying everything about the day. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you in person! I was running a bit late from the hairdresser and I just had to get upstairs and get dressed and be ready in 30 min. The String Poets did an amazing job providing all the music for our wedding, from ceremony processional and recessional to cocktail hour to reception! These musicians are amazing, incredibly professional, and their sound is amazing. They also have an incredible repertoire, and had all of the pieces we wanted for our Jewish ceremony. Radhi Santos, the contact for the String Poets, was fantastic to work with- he was always very approachable and dedicated to making sure that we got exactly the lovely string quartet music we wanted. All in all, fantastic!! I highly recommend them.

String Poets set the tone for the entire wedding with their beautiful music and tone. I am a professional musician and I was very particular with the music for my son's wedding. Radhi Santos was excellent to work with and impressed my son's fiance with the time that he spent with her planning songs for the ceremony. I would highly recommend String Poets to anyone. The group is made up of professional musicians who perform as principals with major area orchestras. They are highly trained and take pride in their work. Thank you all very much for a wonderful performance at our wedding! Your professionalism, timing and etiquette were above reproach. I am just sorry that I wasn't able to enjoy every minute:) As the bride, I was a little busy getting ready and posing for an endless string of photographs. Mr. Radhi Santos and his quartet provided an out standing performance for our 4th annual awards banquet where we had nearly 200 guests in attendance. His quartet arrived promptly and was ready to perform when our event started. The String Poets added the polish to our event that helped put it over the top. Many guests commented on the quality of their performance and the value that it added to the ambiance of the evening. We will certainly be contacting String Poets for our event next year.
I could not have been more pleased with the String Poets Quartet! They sounded beautiful, were professional, and they were extremely grateful to have been a part of the ceremony. I had quite a few special request and they performed them above and beyond what I could have ever expected!
